Touch / Massage Therapy

Massage / Touch Therapy

Above all else, Touch Therapy and Massage present SIDE-EFFECT FREE alternatives to anyone.

What is Touch Therapy?

Imagine if you will a gentle, non-invasive energy based therapy that restores harmony, peace, balance and energy flow to the mind, body and spirit.

Research suggests that Touch Therapy is beneficial in promoting relaxation, reducing emotional and physical pain, enhancing immune system function and managing stress.

By performing Touch Therapy, the body's energy levels become smooth and balanced and often during a session, those receiving this therapy fall into a deep state of calm and sleep.

Why is Touch Therapy so Effective & Beneficial?

The skin is the largest organ in the body and touch is a human's natural way of reacting to pain and stress as well as conveying love and compassion. When something painful happens to you like a bump on the head, your natural reaction would be to rub the affected area to ease the pain. Kisses, hugs and holding hands are, meanwhile, are peoples way of expression emotions toward another person.

The effect of a touch depends of course, upon the situation. A touch from someone can be relaxing or reassuring, off-putting or gentle, soothing or stimulating. Touch can also bond us together in ways that transcends words. The warmth of a hand held, the sensation of a soft cheek against ours, hugs ... these all go a long way toward expressing our affection for someone but ... Touch can actually give more than a momentary tingle or a second of solace; touch can comfort and heal.

Touch Therapy and Massage, are becoming  increasingly popular methods of treatment for neurological disorders and the depression that often accompanies it and has received a lot of attention over the past few years. They are very real and very legitimate means of dealing with the conditions.

Touch Therapy and Massage can benefit individuals suffering from neurological dis-ease and disorders, the depression that often accompanies it and the many immune system disorders and related pain issues that accompany it such as:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Bone fractures
  • Bone spurs
  • Tremors
  • Lack of Balance
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Myofascial disorder
  • Cancer
  • Arthritis
  • Crones disease

The University of Maryland Medical Center found that Touch Therapies reduce certain stress inducing hormones such as cortisol and release natural substances called endorphin's in the body that reduce pain and elevate mood. Further,  Touch Therapies and Massage can and do ease pain and reduce depression ... sometimes as a stand alone therapy and more often in conjunction with other therapies. Results will vary based on the individuals circumstances.
